Default VR/S Door pods, which size fits in?

I have taken out all my good speakers out of my old car, and am in the process of putting em in my VS. I have taken the door trim off one of the doors, and my clarion 6" doesnt fit in properly, but the 6" rockford one that was in fitted well.

Am i not putting it in properly? or dont all 6" speakers fit in?

thats super odd. Are you sure the Clarion isn't 6.5"...they don't fit without modification but I haven't come across a 6" that doesn't fit.
You put you left foot in, your put your right foot in , you take your left foot out and you slide it all about!

Hey buddy, If you have a dremel or a soldering iron or something, on the door pods there is a sort of 90% basket thats on the inside of the speaker mount/spacer, How can i explain this ummm...

Look into the spacer and it goes smaller like a cone, if you put the speaker in, 90% of speaker magnets touch up against the plastic and cause them to not fit, Just remove what is necasary of the plastic that the magnet touches up against, Just don't go to trigger happy with it.

    Cheers

Yeh that is the problem, and thats what i thought of doing too, but i wasnt sure if it would still not fit in and touch the door metal and then i would be cutting it for no reason.

They are 6" speakers, but they magnet is pretty big and the distance from the bottom of the magnet to the top of the speaker is far longer than the rockford ones

I have 6.5" speakers all round my vr mine didn't sit flush, but they are very secure. I get slight rattles, but thats cause they aren't amped/running right.
