Hey guys i've been given an amp and im just going to connect it up to my speakers so far casue it wont be powerfull enough for the sub but anyway! does anyone know any good Amplifier Tutorials? if so please paste the link in here![]()
Nope, what do you want to know?
The amp requires the following;
- power wire directly from battery with fuse within 30cm or so of the battery.
- ground wire directly to chassis of car, find an existing bolt and sand the paint away then put your ground wire with ring terminal on that.
- remote wire, this comes from your head unit and turns your amp on when the head unit is on.
- RCA's, these come from the head unit and run the sound to the amp.
- Speaker wires to speakers.
That's basically it... If you need to know more, ask and give more info like what car and equipment you're installing.
hey, give this short-ish movie guide a go.

that's a good video azzfox. it answers all the basic questions people usually have.
Its not hard at all once you know what your doing. There are a few sets of instructions on these forums, but it really depends what your doing, and how you want it to look. If your just powering 2 speakers, heres a rough guide:
Amp power cable (small-ish guage would be fine, but get bigger if you want to run a sub later) needs to be run from the battery to the boot (if thats where your putting it). Run it through a grommet in the firewall, theres a few to choose from, esp if its an auto. Then you need to run it over to the side of the car, down behind the kick-panel, under the door sills (these just clip off) then up behind the back seat. I ran mine on the drivers side, and RCA cables on the passenger side (these need to be seperated).
Then you'll need to run the remote wire from HU to amp, Mine just follows the RCAs. speaker wire comes back the same way (if your putting speakers in the front) and clip/solder onto speakers.
If this is the sort of stuff you want to know, tell me and i'll keep going. Dephilile and 12Volt were really helpful to me, if you can find my thread it has a lot of answers in it.
Yeah its all isnatlled its all good its alot simplier then wat i thought the only problem was wiring the power cable for it. well for me it was
