pioneer?? premier??

just trying to work out what the difference is here?
it states it is a pioneer sub but has 'premier' printed across the middle of it, is a spitting image of others i have seen with pioneer but yeh...

whats the deal?

its a 3000wmax 1000rms

is it what they call there better quality subs?

although max wattage is terrible compared to rms... oh well!

I don’t think it is a knock off. My head unit is identical to what pioneer sells in Australia except the power and earth are swapped around and it has premier written on the front instead of pioneer. A head unit is a little harder to make a cheap knock off of.

premier is what the yanks call pioneer im pretty sure

Australia has one range of products and they say "Pioneer" on them.

The US has two ranges of products (look at their website). Their top of the range stuff has "Premier" on it because they are the Premier Pioneer products.

For car head units ours are formatted like this DEH-P9650MP, US normal equivalent is DEH-P9600MP and US Premier is DEH-P960MP. The Premier models have a few extra features and a longer warranty.

Premier gear is good gear.....Stone is correct in saying that it isn't released in Australia.

The AU models have the same specs as the Premier models so a DEH-P9650MP is virtually the same as the Premier DEH-P960MP. The normal US model DEH-P9600MP will have less features than our version.
