hey i recentlly bought a 91 vn commodore exec sedan and wanted to put some speakers in the rear parcel shelf. when i bought it the only speakers were the front speakers and there was none in the parcel shelf. i have since put some speakers in the parcel shelf but as there was none before i'm not sure about the wiring. Do i have to run new cables from the speakers to the cd player or os there some speaker wires in the back already?????
run new wires
you gotta run new wires. they should come with the speakers. run the wires along the drivers side of the car, under the plastic part along the bottom of the cars interior. its where all the other wires for the back of the car run.

Yeah thnx i did that but when i got to the headunit wire harness there is only room for three pins and also at the back of the head unit is two rca inputs. the cd player was already installed when i got it and i dont know what to do know(this is my first speaker installation).
sorry for the stupid questions it is my first installation of any kind(hopefully more to come) but if it helps the cd player is a kenwood kdc 1023. also i found wire connectors in the upper right hand corner of the glove box(closest to you) and i was wondering what they are there for.
what are the sizes of speakers in a commodore
hatnze - you will need to remove the stereo and connect your new speaker cables to the green / green w/black stripe (left rear speaker) and the purple / purple w/black stripe (rear right speaker).
vlgodfather - In the VN the stock speakers in the front are 4", in the back they are 6".
