Hey all, have just purchased a Fusion FP-1404 amplifier and am trying to decide where to mount it... i can't mount it under the passenger seat without having it petruding. So i've had a few more ideas... i thought hey what about mounting it in the boot to that raised area just behind the backseat... i'm considering this still but one thing i want to know is does anyone know whether it's safe to drill the holes here for it or is there stuff running underneath the vehicle? See i don't have the equipment to get under the car safely so i thought someone might be able to enlighten me as to whether there is anything to watch for under there. Another spot i considered was mounting it vertically on the inner boot wall kind of in line with where the number plate is on the outside... if that makes any sense... Once again, is it safe to drill here or am i likely to screw up some tail light wiring or something else in the process?
My only other alternative which i don't really like is to mount it to the back of the rear seats in the boot... One thing i'm also wondering about is do those back seats have solid plates in the back of them or would i pretty much be drilling into cushion and foam?
Thanks in advance!

this is what my friend did in his magna. He had both the amps mounted to a carpeted wooden board and and mounted behind the passenger seats

those are my friends ones, yes they are fibreglass and they sound awesome. i have got the same fibreglass boxes in my commodore but the amps are angled on each side, here is some pics of how they are mounted.

I've been inspired... i've had a look around at how to fibreglass stuff now but am wanting to know if you did that fibreglassing yourself and if so how much did you pay all up for materials to do it? Or if you didn't do it then how much did you pay someone else to do it?
i had it done professionaly done.
Pricing:
Fibreglass boxes: $450 each
Amp mountings: $200 each
False floor: $150
It cost a little bit but i believe it was well worth it. I wanted the boot to still be practical. I still wanted to access the spare tyre ( false floor can be removed at any time by hand) and still have access through the fold down seat.
yeah man it does look very nice
A very tidy boot
Heres my amp install - i didn't want to take up all my boot space, so it depends what your after i guess. This is in a VN but you could prolly do it... Hard to take pics of!!
