    Post Optima Red,yellow top batteries

Was think when i do the stereo install was lookin at maybe putting (replacing oringinal) one of the OPTIMA bat to help with the current draw of the amps and H/U..

I used to use them when i was into 4WD's as second bat for fridges and lighting worked well there

What are peoples opinion on these are they any good.. Am i on the right track with this idea....

    Cheers Dave.......

I got a Yellow Top for my car. The reason I got it was because I wanted something that would last a bit longer than the stock one with the car off and not damage the battery if I flatten it. I don't really run my stereo with the car off, so I can't comment on how well/long it works.

I honestly wouldn't bother with the red top. Current draw wise it doesn't do much better then your stand duty battery.
You put you left foot in, your put your right foot in , you take your left foot out and you slide it all about!

So stick with the stocky bat or go the yellow top

consider a super duty battery as well. Ideally, you need to look at stereo once it's in and how you use it on and off and then work out what you need.
