my vp is dual fuel which means it has gas tank in the boot behind the seats,
i was thinking 2 12" type r's but i'm worries all ill get is boot rattle and no bass sound (yes ill still get the feel) but the sound might not come through to the cabin. would it be better to put a 10" or 2 8" on the parcel shelf?
or even both maybe eventually.

cheers. Ryan
yeh mate the bass will still come through. Um totally up to you what size sub you get.
Yeah you wont be lacking bass due to the gas tank, have the sub box at the rear of the boot(about 6 inches from the back of the car) with the subs firing towards the back of the car. works the best for me and the bass has an "everywhere" feel and sometimes its hard to tell where the bass is coming from in the car which is nice.
mounting a sub in the parsel shelf is a bad idea for these reasons:
hard to get the encloser air tight (boot being the encloser).
encloser is not the optimum volume for the sub/s.
harder to get good common (read: common = cheaper and on sale more) subs that are made for an infinite baffel setup.
easiet to just use a box, there will be minimum sound loss through the tank.
