Default 6x9's in the back doors?

iv got a vq statesman, with 4door power windows

i have already got 6x9's in the parcel shelf with no space for 2 more (could cut out holes as per my old vn, but i founf the sub vibratted the shit outt the parcel shelf)

i was just wondering how much fiddeling round would there be trying to fit 6x9's in the back doors, in a similar position as where a normal pod sit in the front of a vr-vs?

i know that the is a window motor behind the door skin, but can you phically fit a 6x9 in the door skin with out a door pod?

(befor you guys ask, yes i am trying to deafen the back seat passangers )

Whats with you and 6x9's. If you had them in the back doors that would sound shit, they are just meant for bass and mostly low range, Get splits in the front, maybe coax's in the rear doors (done using a pod or spacer otherwise your will have to cut excess metal out) and leave the 6x9's in the parcel shelf.

6x9's require more to operate efficiently than a 10" sub does. If you put them anywhere other than the rear shelf they will sound terrible and rattle everything

i am pretty sure you can, but you would have to cut a the metal a bit, i might have a look this weekend, you will still have to have some sort of small pod as i think they are a little too deep for the door, but pretty sure it could be done. might have to put them on angles though

    cheers, nick

hard to say unless you can compare the efficency ratings............
you might be able to get 6x9's to fit but it will depend HUGELY on the dimentions of the speaker........
also something that comes to mind is why????????????????????

was wondering coz they are just sitting there, not playing music in my wardrobe

my dads vx has speakers in the back doors, i think they are 6"s so im probly going to go with 6.5"s in the front with vs pods, and 6"s in the back, and im keen on the tweeters in the "c pillar" ( lol vn_berlina ) would that sound alright? or would my best bet be to keep tweeters to the front?

keep the tweeters in front of you, best for imaging and staging. Move them around and try different spots so that you can get the best sound out of them
