i dont think theres really any sort of VN specific guide, but its pretty much: run RCA's and a remote wire from HU to amp, run a power cable from the battery, with a fuse close to the battery and run an earth from the amp to a solid point near your amp that goes directly into the chassis. Thats the bsics

Yeah its bthe same for all cars pretty much, you will need an amp wiring kit naturally or you can buy all the wiring sperately. 8 guage power cable is plenty big enough and leaves room for upgrading later. The fuse holders are available from car audio shops and autobarn etc. You run the power cable from the + battery terminal around 1 foot to the fuse holder and then continue on with the power cable through the firewall (cluth cable grommet is a good place in an auto), under your carpet and along the edge of the car (drivers side) then pull the back seat out or move it a little to run the cable behind it into the boot. Then run the RCA's from the deck (HU) with the remote wire running with them down under the carpet on the passenger side along the edge of the car and behind the back seat then just screw all the wires into the right holes on the amp and get a short length of power cable for the earth and screw one end into the amp and the other end onto a metal surface in the boot. and you should be powered up and ready to add speakers.

^^^Where do you get the idea that 8ga is big enough, with room for an upgrade?

Most people here use nothing smaller than 4ga for the main power run, depending on how big the system is 2ga would be the way to go. I wouldn't run either of my amps on an 8ga run, let alone a whole system.

Do it right, first time, work out the total current rating that you could theoretically pull, and work it out from there. 8ga would be too small for most amps.

    *cough* Overkill

Unless you plan to do DB drag racing 8 guage will be fine.

I'm running 2 amps with 400wrms between them and they are quite happy on 8 guage.

I was just giving the guy some pointers, didn't see anyone else telling him?

Make it long enough to get the movement you need. If you make it too long it can be bundled up with a cable tie until needed.

No not really as long as the box is secure and amp is secure and the wiring is secure then NO you wont hurt your amp. I have heard that mounting amps on sub boxes will eventually kill the amp so I hope this us just a temporary thing.
