ive got a 12 inch sub in my boot and i cant stop the damn thing from shaking. it just sounds bad from the outside. the boot garnish and a few other parts just vibrate like crazy.
what have other VN owners done to stop this with their subs?
one thing ive noticed that makes the worst noise is the little black thing behind the spare wheel. anyone else noticed this?

You can try sticking down all the parts that are rattling. A bit of double sided tape under the unsecured side of the numberplate will help that part. Little dabs of hot glue may help in places but you don't want to use too much in case you need to get things apart one day.
Another idea is to line the boot with bitumen based deadening material. This will also reduce the sound of your sub from outside the car, and possibly improve it from the inside.
* Phreddy's Blaupunkt Aux input and line out mod
* 18x8 inch Equus Kalibur Wheels with Maxxis MAV-1 235/40R18
* Sureflo 3.5 inch medium-loud cat back exhaust
The ovbious bit is to make sure that all the nuts/bolts are done up really tight.
After that, it's just a case of sound deadening, and padding, if you've got an old tyre tube somewhere a few strips of that can be used to pad stuff out and stop it rattling.
Gravity is proof that nature keeps getting us down.
Agreed, make sure all nutts are tight.
Make sure your spare wheel and tire iron aren't sitting loose.
Bubble wrap behind the number plate.
Expanding foam in a can for boot garnish. Use spareingly cause it will expand and pop the garnish completely off if you're not careful.
Sound deadening mat for boot interior.

pull the boot vents out and put tube tube rubber under all the boot garnishes holes and then tell us whats rattling!!!
