Whats the biggest flip mount LCD (mid mount) allowed?
How does it attach? prices? Wiring?
I have space for a double DIN system (Have a VY) i currently have a MP3 player (single din) and a little spacer thingy in. For a 7 inch motorised flip screen, I'd need one space for that, and the other for the DVD player/reader? right? (VERY new to this...) or can I still have the MP3 player and dvd player together? or do people usually get one system to hand;e the lot, ie: one headdeck that plays/encodes DVD, CD and MP3?
does the mid mount LCD interfere or replace the interior light?
go before it? after it?
in total, I want to get Sat/Nav, mounted scanner/transceiver, DVD player and at least the dash 7" screen, maybe the cabin mounted one...
What have you guys done? how much did it cost? and if you got the PS2 installed also, do you make enoguh use of it to be worthwhile? Or easier to just have an AV input and plug in a slimline whenever you want to???
Thanks for reading my rather randomish question!
any response appreciateD!!!!

Most of the current AV in dash screens are "all in one" units, so they play DVD, have a radio tuner and the screen. TV tuners are USUALLY external separate items. You can get single and double DIN units now, so it really depends on what you'd prefer. And they all play MP3 these days
The overhead screens i've seen have replaced the the interior light housing as the flip down screen has interior lights and stuff on it.
I used to have an old DVD/screen head unit and normal head unit, as the screen needed another unit to control it... It was fun at first and good to show off, but after a few months I got over it. It was only good for music DVD's as you couldn't keep track of movies and porn was distractingI sold it and went back to a normal head unit as it was a waste having it.
hmmm, yeah, thinking that might end up being the same case...
originally wanted to do everything, dvd screen/s, ps2, sat/nav, scanner etc... but really should just think about what I would use.. *shrug*
like my roommate said yesterday, "dude, you haven't touched your PS2 at home for 3 months, even though you have 3 new games, what use will you get out of one in the car?!?!"
hehe, should think more I guess
this is a pic of mine that was put into vx double din
Kenwood its the best thing IMHO i have seen great quality and better than the fold out ones cause it doesnt wobble round (GOOD FOR UP HERE ON THESE ROADS)
Plays all kinds of format MP3 burnt dvd c.ds everything![]()

Yeah almost every dvd unit you get has mp3
New models now are starting to play MP3 fromDVD which is good... Lots of music per discThey never used to be able to play MP3 from DVD except for an Alpine screen and JVC single DIN DVD player, as far as I know.

Ok, going to go with just a 5watt scanner/transceiver for now, and another amp... will focus on more AV later down the track...
Will also be getting a 40g mp3/video player and 80cm tv... bugger plasma and lcd, I'm sticking with the good ole rear pro. :P
