Don't you guys know what Nakamichi is? It's a high end Japanese brand which are very expensive. That's a 6-CD indash stacker with pretty high end audio processing. They retail for $2,499AUD last year.
If Nakamichi is such a good brand...

The prices is from the Australian distributor. We live in Australia, so try looking at Australian prices. If you look at the US price of any electronic goods sold in Australia the price difference is rather large.
And $45 from Indo to Australia is not expensive at all compared to what an eBay store would charge.

Yeah, i'd say 1/3 of RRP is a pretty good price... The last one I saw being sold 2nd hand was going for $1,350 but eventually went for $1,100.

Naka is one of the best of the best. Once upon a time it was all I would ever use. They don't run on 12Volts. Mine had an external power supply to bump it up to about 30Volts.

there is a cd700II in the us for $500 starting with a $700 buy it now option. bargain!
hopefully i will be getting a naka deck and some of their amps soon so hopefully i can get it for $820!

read the part about the naka being fitted to his maserati. also i have see a bugatti V12 monster twin turbo and it had a naka tuner standard (i think it was a bugatti).

Its pretty funny, this just proves some people have no idea.
People will judge an item by what it looks like, hence pay big bucks because it looks good.

Notice how it doesnt even have mp3? most naka players if not all dont play mp3s because the equip is of such high quality if your going to play mp3s on it, its a waste. Might as well buy your bling bling head unit with flashing colours.

Yeah, that nak one doesnt look the best.
But there a quite a few ones that look pretty sweet in my opinion.
Its the type of head unit that you could put in a ferrari and it would suit it.
Could you imagine putting a panasonic with blue neons in a ferrari? it would degrade the car.

It's not about looks, let's face it with the spec sheet on that thing, you'd be getting it for how it sounds, not how it looks.
And yeah, when I'm rich and famous (AS IF) and I have my Ferrari, it would look nice in there.
