Default Speakers into doors with pwr windows

Need some advice, what is the largest speakers that can be put into VN Berlina doors that have power windows. Have speakers in dash but they're coming out soon. And will I get a better quality of sound if I use an amp, won't be playing any of that doof doof shit, just good rock.

you will have a clearer sound at higher volume if you use an amp and also richer at all volume.

Yeah an amp will improve the sound of your speakers, especially if its a decent amp. I have a VN Berlina also and I have VR door pods in my car. 6 inch splits will fit in your doors. Nothing bigger. But dont take notice of the 6.5 inch some brands say, because thats still 6 inch but they include the speaker cover in the measurements. So most 6 inch speakers will fit if you have VR door pods which u can pick up cheap from wreckers.

Also, are you replacing the 4 inch speakers in the dash? I replaced mine with some Soundstream Tarantulas. 4 inch, 85 watts RMS. They're good but you cant fit them under the grill on the dash...but Soundstream have some good 4 inch speakers that will fit under the grill.

ah so thats why my 6.5 inch speakers needed completely new mdf pods because the plastic pod was almost smaller than the speakers.....
true 6.5 inch speakers are funny enough arew usuallu 12.7mm bigger than usual 6inch speakers. some manufactures (like alpine) have a bodgy 6.5 inch speakers that aren't quiet 6 or 6.5 inches. just depends on the brand and also importantly the basket shape that will determine if the speaker fits the stock pod.
