    Default Jaycar Splits and 6x9's

ATM in my vs, i have a pioneer deh-p6750mp headunit with the stock speakers. The speakers have pumped hard for about 6 months now, since i bought the headunit. But recently theyve begun to crackle when turned up loud.

I've heard about the Jaycar splits and 6x9's thru a few mates, and they have recommended them to me. I am just curious, for the money (about $300 together), are they a good buy? Are there any other better speakers for a similar price?

I would recomend you to get an 4 channel amp to run these if you want good sound. Especially since the H/U only put around 20wrms per channel. It would have been atleast alot closer with stock speakers because they would'nt be rated much more than that, but as you can see the new speakers will be really underpowered resulting in crap quality sound.

    Just my 2cents

Thanks for the replies everyone. I think i'll be buyin them shortly. Is the amp definitely worth the extra $200?

Also are there any audio installers in sydney north shore area that could install it all for cheap?

    Thanks
    Nath
