Hey all,
I started to do a interior makeover on my VN today...and ive taken the carpet out to put some new sound deadner in...and the previous owner has around to KILOMETERS of speaker wire stashed under there...my question is....if i shorten the length as much as i can....will i get better speaker response/sound quality .... and secondly...is it beneficial to get good quality speaker wire....
Cheers all !!!!!!!!!!!

RIVING:
People will argue better speaker wire sounds better, but i'm yet to hear any difference. As long as it is adequate thickness and flexible enough to work with, it's fine.
I doubt you'll hear any difference shortnening the wires, but it'd be better to make it neat.
Cheers dude....all i needed to hear![]()
only get better wire if the speakers are really high powered ones.
eg: for my sub, the wire is like 2cm thick..
shortening the wires, u wont notice any difference, unless there seriously is a few kms worth in there.. lol
I wonder what those scales on the top right side of my posts do...
There was enough speaker cable to go AROUND my car 3 times lol....thats the best way to describe the length
its been shortened and run properly....will let ya know how if fairs

As the old saying goes...the chain is only as stong as the weakest link!
my point? if your wire isnt causing crappy sound the RCA's, connectors, HU's internals will be...as long as its the right guage, easy to work with and looks wicked when on display, your ok!
Its a good idea to shorten it!
looking at selling it? ......maybe after some
aZk.
