    Default sub box shape

    hey guys.

I had my VR wagon bkonen into a few weeks ago, and along with stealing my $400 sub, they broke $600 worth of windows to get to it.Now, I am looking to install another sub, this time with far better security than simply sitting in the back of the car.
    My question is this:

Does it matter if the sealed sub box is shallow but wide and long? ie; my sub is about 10cm deep. Will it matter i the sub box is only a little more than 10cm deep, but still makes up the required volume by being wide and long? obviously, it will still be sealed and have the low-density foam in it to prevent echo and whatnot.

    Thanks in advance.

    Default

If the sub has a vent hole on the rear, which most if not all do, then it need about 5cm clearance for air flow.

But other than that, the box shape doesn't really make any difference.
