H/U probs! stickin out like an inch (VH)

anyone know how to fix a H/U in a vh? mine slides in fine then it sticks out like an inch and a half
any1 know how to fix this or get around it?

Standard problem on any early Commodore. You can either modify the heating duct that is behind it or get a shorter radio or put up with it.

yea i thought it might be my H/U but its the same lenth as my friends pioneer one and it fits in his vk berlina fine would changing my dash fix this problem?

Would 90 degree RCAs help? What is stopping it going in?

Probably the edges of the metal cradle that it mounts in... If you fold them straight on grind them off, it will slide back further. Keep the bottom lip though so it stops when the bottom edge of the player is flush with the dash.
