head unit brackets Help!!

hey there i have just purchased a VN wagon w/out stereo etc. It appears that the original holden stereo bracket is not in there. All I can see is two drill holes to the right and left but no bracket. I cant figure out how I would mount this to a new head unit w/out some kind of bracket.

I have purchased a new JVC mp3 player head unit and have wired it up & its all working but because I have no bracket when its sittin in the dash its very loose and untidy!!

Is there a way to mod the sleeve that came with the JVC unit? Or is it just a matter of going down to the local wreckers and picking up a holden stereo bracket??

Any help is would be great..

I don't get what you mean, does the cradle that came with the HU not fit in this space? do you mean it needs to be secured to something?

The headunit he has, has a cradle on it, but theres nowhere to bolt the actual cradle too, as someone has pinched the standard cradle on him.

I'm in the same boat too, but for a VR.

Oh I get ya now. VL's don't need a factory cradle like that si I'm lucky. Yeah try the wreckers aye.

problem solved went to the local car audio installer and they had a bracket to fit a vn. So I am all sweet now..

I just grabbed a piece of metal, a 3mm drill piece and drill, and a pair of tin snips. Made my own.
