The Soundstream amp has better filtering.....especially with a pioneer h/u....If you decide to use the boss amp for your speakers and u do get engine noise then let me know and i will try and help u get rid of it......cheers

i had the boss in another car for a day and i had the engine noise(god that's annoying) so i'd say i'll get it again...i'm going to try it tomorrow so i will let u know how i go!! the soundstream is a rubicon lil wonder 5!!!
really? i would have thought the reliability would have been a bigger problemOriginally Posted by VQXTC

I removed a Boss amp out of a car as it stopped working....someone had mounted it to the box....and when i removed it, I shook it and a few components began jumping around inside....just like an oversize baby rattle.....LOL

but the biggest problem with boss is the ****wits who buy them and the sales people selling a shit product.
yea my advice would be juz get rid of the boss amp if u hav the rubicon 5 then that should be fine for ur whole system.
The soundstream is a quality amp. The other one is a POS fire hazard. Easy choice!
Take no notice of stupid power ratings, this has no bearing at all on how it will sound in your car. As you have already discovered, the boss is a noisy POS.
If you want a good laugh, have a look at the manual for that soundstream amp. Pay particular attention to the amps rated outputs quoted on the last pages. This indicates what soundstream think of power ratings!

ROFLMAO
yes, nothing pissed me off more then the instruction manual for those....I really did want the rated power but then I had to go online and look it up because someone decided to have a joke.
You put you left foot in, your put your right foot in , you take your left foot out and you slide it all about!
lmao! did soundstream actually publish that thing or did they just edit the pdf file for the net only???
no..it was published.
