Hey there lilkel, I have worked with the BA-4800 before although a seemingly powerful amp, i would use it to drive a sub or two and use the lil wonder to drive your speakers if its a Lil Wonder 4 if not and its a Lil Wonder 2 then use the Boss amp to drive your speakers, the other problem that i have come across with the boss amp is it can induce engine noise into the speakers....(Sounds like a high pitched wirrrring noise that varies with engine revs). The Soundstream amp has better filtering.....especially with a pioneer h/u....If you decide to use the boss amp for your speakers and u do get engine noise then let me know and i will try and help u get rid of it......cheers

Hey there Garfa, Unfortunately these amps are not known for there reliability....but that being said engine noise is just one of there main problems....Oh and they dont like being mounted on a sub box either.....literally shakes them to death!!!

I removed a Boss amp out of a car as it stopped working....someone had mounted it to the box....and when i removed it, I shook it and a few components began jumping around inside....just like an oversize baby rattle.....LOL

The soundstream is a quality amp. The other one is a POS fire hazard. Easy choice!
Take no notice of stupid power ratings, this has no bearing at all on how it will sound in your car. As you have already discovered, the boss is a noisy POS.

If you want a good laugh, have a look at the manual for that soundstream amp. Pay particular attention to the amps rated outputs quoted on the last pages. This indicates what soundstream think of power ratings!

yes, nothing pissed me off more then the instruction manual for those....I really did want the rated power but then I had to go online and look it up because someone decided to have a joke.
