radio reception??

hi,iv removed original vs stero and put a clarion cd but for some reason i now recive crap reception.is it possible that original vs antenna plug is not long enough for the clarion??? oh yeah it is plugged in as far as it goes. do i need some soet of adaptor or extension? cheers

length wont make a diference as they all the same
is the clarion new or second hand
maybe need tuning or some stezzas have in the menu 9k and 10 k switching for different countries
