Default hu to xover or amp to x over

hey guys, im in a real tight spot with this one. im trying to install my amp (s) just going with one for the moment. i know this is a slightly long thread but please bear with me. first ill just say what ive got in already.

a sony headunit (nothing special, only 1 set of rca outs but.)
front splits - 6 inch speakers and tweaters and x overs
    rear 6 x9 splits and x overs

the front right speaker doesnt work. cos of old wires i think. so i have to replace that too.

i have already put the power cable rca cable and remote cable down the sides of the car and to the amp. the rca and remote wires are to the HU.
the power cable i am having trouble finding where to put it through the firewall.

what im a little unsure of with the speakers is, should i connect all four speakers to the amp via the x over? does hte head unit still have to be cnnected to speakers too if this is so?
and does any one have a WIRING DIAGRAM for an amp that is similar or different, either way, to what i have. i really need this, cos i have no experience with this stuff and noone to help me.

and did any one else find it extremely hard to disconect the little warning LED on the dash. i cant get it so i gotta leave it on meaning ive got this whole chunk of dash in my way lol. so annoying.

thanks alot guys. please post soon, my car is undrivable atm. tottally ripped to shreds.

    ok,
is your car a manual? you have a pic of the ecu wiring and it will be easier and need less cable if you run the power through the clutch gromet (large gromet to the lower right of the brake booster.
EDIT: because this forum removes "unnessacery" spaces the wiring diagram looks f*cked up so this will need to do.
    h/u>>>>>amp>>>>>x-over>>>>>woofer/tweeter
do not have the h/u speaker wires connected to the speakers, just the speaker wires from the amp.
the security light connector just needs a flat bade to lift the plastic locking hook, and it will come off.
    anything else?
