    Default RCAs blocking HU install

i plugged in the rca cable into the back of my HU, and was dissapointed to find that when the hU is put back in the rca cables stop it from fitting. i moved the two bits that hold the HU in back furhter which makes it stick out a littel bit more, but i found that its still about a 7 mm to much. has any one else come across this and had a good way to fix it, other than moving the unit out further

haha yep it didnt fix my problem!
get some central locking stripping. that will allow you to have the h/u pushed out a bit but also bolted down properly.
but i was using all 3 pairs of pre outs.

its and inch wide, 1mm thick strip of mild steel with ~1 inch long slots longetudenly cut along the metal.
look at the h/u install guide on the top of the car audio page.

dont get me started on the surrounding. we have had this pioneer head unit for about a year now and finally thought of a way to get that brackets to line up properly and drill in the right places. i have had the HU out about 10 times and today i finally got it right and now the surrounding fits on properly and looks neat with all even sides (pat on my back)
