install speakers and amp - vu ute

I am ready to take the plunge, install an amp and speakers to the origional head unit (love to spend 1000's only have 100's) but would like a bit of guidence from you guru's.

Door speakers
- how do I get to them ?
- does the speaker wire run through the harness i see between the door and body?
- any other unknown factors or suprises ie electric window components or door locking to watch out for?

Amp - intend on putting it under the passenger seat, any gremlins to watch out for

How much of the dash will need to come out to get to the back of the head unit

make sure your amp has a big heat sink and thermo fan other wise u will cook it just like i managed with 2 amps under the seat
