    Default quick gauge question

    g'day

    just a quick one..

    ive got 2 amps. one putting out 2 x 150wRMS. the other putting out 4 x 55wRMS.

Just wondering what gauge everyone would recommend?

i have a spare 8ga wiring kit at home but im not sure if this would do.

    cheers
    scott

4 gauge from the battery to a distribution block then 2 short 8 gauge to the amps. Fuse close to battery to protect 4Ga wire. Fused distribution block to protect 8Ga wire.

What amps, brand and part No.?

What speakers/subs are you driving from each channel/s?

depends on how hard you are pushing your system really. if youm are driving thats amps at their max then 4 ga would be preferable, but if not then maybe just stick eith the 8ga. phree said it best: fuse, run, distro (fused) and then run.

yeh, dont plan on any sound offs, or going deaf any time soon.

So i'll put in the 8ga for now and see how we go..

    thanks everyone
