hi,
about a month ago i've bought my VP commodore executive.
Now i love my music... and i love having a great stereo. But so i cannot live with a crappy old tape deck and a pair of stock speakers.
i thought that i would buy each peice, bit by bit. but my first step is to buy a deck and a set of JBL splits to start off with and eventually work my way up.
What i have just realised is that how do you get the tape deck out? ive had a look at it and i am not a bit confused on whether there is some sort of release for it or whether you have to yank it out?
Could someone please tell me how because like everyone else, i cannot live with a tape deck in my car, i dont even own any cassettes.
it will be much appreciated...
Cory.
first you have to remove the surrounding around the gear stick.
there are 3 screws at the bottom of the radio surround. then that should pull out.
then there are 3 screws either side at the glovebox and drives side.
that should make removing the side pary easier.
there are brackets that screw the tape player in place, undo these and thats about it
That was realy breif and rushed. there should be a guide around
Stereo Install/Removal (VN - VS)
knew it wouldnt be far
