i have just got some new speakers for my vt, 4 x 6 1/2" sony xplode 170 watt coaxials .
i have been reading some threads and keep coming across "splits in front doors" and "coaxials in rear doors" now im confused can i use coaxials in all four doors or not . any help would be much appreciated![]()
splits will give a better staging effect in the front. splits consist of woofers in the doors and tweeters in the dash or pillars as well as two crossovers (for each side/door) which sends the low frequencies to the woofers and high frequencies to the tweeters.
thanks azzfox
you can use coaxils but most people prefer splits. depends how important sound staging is to you.
well more than that, splits have a wider variety of price range. there are not many -axial speakers avalibal for over $1200
arent Z6's optional? eg you can mount them either way
yup semi, they are. there are some that can be mounted split or co-axial but really spending how much on z6's and mounting them co-axial in the front permentally.......nuts.
well, you've really jsut invalidated your last post. kinda. more to the point, who cares
Z6's and Pro's can both be mounted coaxial or separate. I've got the Z6's separate int he front and Pro's coaxial in the rear.
semi... I think you need to refer to the "not many" part of his sentence![]()
dont be a nit-picking nancy semithere are always exceptions.
hahaah i know. im a prick arent i
yeah thats why i gave you a rep point in another thread!
