    Default Broken speaker

    while installing my speakers i snapped of the clip that the speaker wire goes on to and have broken the wire i still have both pieces would it be possible to solder them or are they rat shitted its the negative terminal cheers

    You can try soldering it, but it will make it go stiff and probably snap eventually.

    I did the same thing while installing my stereo a couple months back, but the wire didn't break. Just snapped the plastic circuit board type thing which the terminals are soldered to.

    I just taped it to the frame of the speaker and haven't had any problems since. StoneX, you reckon that's ok?

    Yeah, as long as it doesn't move. It's dodgy, but what can you do... I've hot glued broken terminals back in place for customers who didn't want to throw the speaker out.
