HELP !!!....i decided to be a good neighbour today , and help out with a stereo install.....but it was a FORD *shudders * ... problem is...the previous install was BUTCHERED....i've tried a few ford forums...but ultimately i came back to the folk i trust... 12Volt...hope you're Listening dude

ok what i have .. Early 1997-2002 Ford Falcon GL. i need a wiring diagram to swap to a Pioneer MP3 Player .... or even just an idea of wire codes ect...

i KNOW this is a commodore forum before any burners come along....

but im desperate...and at wits end....cant seem to get the combo right...

fuses ect are all good...

so its human *my dumbass* error . i think

mixed it up a tad..

i need a wiring guide to hardwire a (pioneer) loom plug....to the stereo loom already on the car...

hmmm if so..does anyone know where i could possibly get a plug that would slide straight onto pioneer ?

go to autobarn and get a harness... there like $15. The pioneer will have the wiring codes on it and you just match it to the labelled harness. Not difficult. To be perfectly honest.. you should just be able to wire it up with out the guide. There are industry standards in car stuff... ie, black or black with trace = ground, orage = 12V... the rest are usually paird traces for speaker wires,.... use a channel search cd track and work out wich ones which... any way, head to autobarn.

Hi there, I really need to know what year the car is....but I will tell you the colours and what they do for fords in general...

Constant 12 volts - green/yellow trace (XD to EL) or plain yellow(AU upwards)
Accessory - blue/white trace (XD to EL) or purple/orange trace(AU upwards)
Earth - plain black
Power Antenna - red/blue trace
Illumination - brown



Front Left + Orange/green trace (EA to EL) or plain orange (AU upwards)
Front Left - Orange/black trace

Front Right + Grey/green trace
Front Right - Grey/black trace

Rear Left + Pink/green trace
Rear Left - Pink/black trace

Rear Right + Blue/red trace
Rear Right - Blue/black trace

As always check power wires with a test light BEFORE connecting up!!
