clarion for h/u's for sure. i would take a high end clarion for SQ over a high end alpine, pioneer or any other main stream brand you want to name. i would have a really nice model of theres but i just missed out! damn those online shops. i could have saved over 65% american retail!

Clarion were good but then produced and sold rubbish for about 10 years.
Over the last 5 or 6 years they have gone back to producing good quality gear.
They had a poor reputation for a while which would have affected their sales no end and perhaps influenced whole markets not to buy their products.

I've always liked Clarion as a brand, for some reason, probably goes back to the fact that the first really good system I heard was mostly Clarion.

Head units are very good and they're amps aren't bad for the money.

pretty much all head units are the same
as in you do get what you pay for
    everyone bags out sony stuff
    but yeah i duno
alpine is supposed to be the best but i know a few people who have had faults with them as well

i really dont like those flip down face ones where you put the cd in behind it
ive had a few friends who like when you push the face back up the lights dont come on and you have to tap it
    ts just annoying

yeh the novelty of the flip down face runs out really quick and in the end sometimes becomes fustrating.
