Ive got some pioneer 6" splits TS-c1625 n hav just put them in my VYII, on the crossovers though it had
+ and - input
+ and - woofer output
- tweeter output
+ tweeter output and
+ -3db tweeter output
The speakers came with no instructions, I have currently installed the system all works good and am running out of the + tweeter output. I was wondering if it would be better to run the tweeter on the -3db output which has currently got nothing in it.
Any thoughts or input on what it does or if its better would be appreciated cheers.
The -3dB screw is to make the tweeters quieter if you mount them up high. You use that instead of the normal + tweeter.
the -3db terminal will make the tweeter quiter by 3 decibels. use this terminal if you find the tweeter is too loud and isnt making a nice balance between the woofer and tweeter, or just use the equiliser on the HU.
StoneX, you bet me to it![]()
