Detachable Face CD Players

Just wondering bout this... do cd players still get stolen with the face off them? If so, often? I have a cd player in my car, not an expensive one, but will someone go to the effort to take a cd player with the face off?

iv heard of it happening but not sure how often. maybe they try to get a faceplate of another HU thats the same (if it works)

yeah i have heard of it too, and not often either. It's just stupid that people would do that. My cd player is nothing special, believe me.

I have a kenwood cd player. Nothing expensive, waste of time if they try to take it anyway because it aint that good.

i got pretty damn lucky with my alpine CDA 9853 in my car. Someone broke into my car and stole my amp and 6x9s, and somehow didnt take the face off my HU that was sitting on the HU. Maybe they couldnt take it off, the button is kinda hidden, i had to look in the manual to figure it out
