    Default what size are vs speakers

    gday guys im getting all my audio gear together i pulled allot out of my old car and it had jbl 5.25" splits which were awsome so i keep em i really want to fit them in my statesman(front) but im afrade that the vs has 6"? if so is there a way i can fit these still all help appreciated cheers

    Hi there. To start you off your correct, the VR/VS has 6" speakers in both front and rear. As for fitting 5.25"s, have a look around for some spacers or something, normally you use spacers to fit larger speakers but hey, i'm sure somebody out there makes them still.     Keep in mind the stato already has splits in the front, including 6" woofers in the door... so you may lose some bass going back to 5.25" (depending on the quality, they may sounds better, but smaller always means less bass).

    just use some thinner mdf. cover the pod hole and have one cut in the mdf for the speaker. easy.

    nah-uh... smaller does not always mean less bass... eerrr... back on topic :P
