Default removing 6x9's in rear of a VR

im about to sell my 93 VR, and i want to keep my pioneer stereo. can i pull my 6x9's out and wack the stock ones back in? when i had them installed the dude had to modify the parcel shelf to make them fit, so will it be a problem getting the stockers back in? cheers

there will prob be gaps around the stock speakers (if they fit at all). could just buy a dirt cheap pair of 6x9's and wack them in instead? just an idea.

ok. do the speakers sit flat on the parcel shelf or is there an mdf spacer approx 2cm thick in between them?

Umm jensen 6x9's at strathfield were going for like 45 bucks i think. And if u haggled a bit you might get them cheaper.
EDIT: i have 6x9's ready to install but i was wondering if there is a way to install them without spacers. and without making or buying a new parcel shelf.
