Hi
I have a VZ and am planning on putting speakers in the rear shelf. There is a 26 pin yellow socket under the shelf and was wondering if anybody can tell me what its for and if it carries speaker signals. It also looks like some of the wires from this connector end up in a 6 pin connector in the rear left quarter but I'm not sure.
I have attached a couple of pictures if that helps.
Thanks
did you ever find out what the socket if for?
the big multi pin one is probably stacker interface. use a dmm on the other one.
Nope, never did find out what it's for and haven't had time to pull the back seat/shelf out again.
Looks like rear speakers will be something I get around to one day!
The one under the shelf I believe will be the loom to go to the subs which is fitted in some models.
The passenger side areas you are describing is where the sub amp is hooked up.
I have a GTO and these are all attached as described above.
Hope this helps
Hmmmmm - I had the parcel shelf trim out of a VZ Acclaim to install some 6x9s one time.
From memory, the Acclaim had a component of the ESP sensor system up there. (Acclaim has ESP instead of the standard traction control like my SV6) That might account for the one on the parcel shelf...
Cheerz.
