    Default installing my head unit

Seriously i have no idea what any of that stuff means on wirring diagrams and what not.

I cut my old head unit out, i got a pioneer deh-p3550mp, all the wires were the same color as my vn, so i stripped em an wired it up, it didn't work. So i thought i just wanna get some power to it, so i figured out black on black and red on red should work so i tested it out on the old head unit, it lit up, then i decided it would be a good idea to touch all the other wires i had wired up to my head unit with the red wire, which made all the speakers my funny noises like they were getting power. Then i tried to wire it back to the head unit, nothing, so i put those 2 wires back on my old head unit and now that didn't even work.

Everythign else in the car still works, so thats good. I just really have no idea what im doing an im pist at why they'd make all the wire colors the same but they dont friggin work! How the hell am i meant to hook this shiz up??

A digital muilimeter might also help, to tell if you have a current "volts" or not.
