hey guys just yestaday i pulled me amp out coz i was guna mount verything in the boot but since then it keeps blowing the main power wire fuse under the bonnet. the car doesnt have a short coz i tyred the amp in the gfs car and it did exactly the same thing, blew the fuse. im thinkin that something has happened to the amp. does anyone kno wot it could be as im sick of it already. thanx
What amp model is it again....My BA4400 used to blow 80amp fuses for no reason but did have a 80amp fuse in amp....well the reason was it couldnt handle 2x12's....
duno its a 1200 watt 1. the joint rang me yestaday and said six of the transistors are fried and there could be more damage further on but they wont kno untill i replace the transistors so i aint guna worry bout it and just get another one.
Well dont go buy another boss amp
ino what one u got my mate has one there ok but still dont go gettin another boss amp....
I had a boss amp it was shit so i spent 2x the amount of the boss and got a JBL 4ch amp for 400 and it absolutely shit all ova the boss
My Boss was rated 1600w@2ohm
The JBL is rated 540w@4ohm and i kills the boss amp with outa doubt
If you want a cheap arse amp that is less likely to blow up, give the Jaycar/Response amps a look.
yeah... the words "boss" and "problem" seem to go hand in hand.
Why would you waste your money on any Boss gear? Instead of wasting money buying amp after amp, go out and buy a semi-decent one.
If you spend $50 on an amp, you're getting your moneys worth. If you spend $300, you will get your moneys worth.

had to laugh at the title of this thread. honestly mate, cut your losses and move onto something with a bit better reputation. it will be a good day when budget installers and first time users opt for jaycar instead of boss
