Merits of different brands, who makes the best what?

As title says guys, I would like to know people's different views on who makes the best gear in terms of wireing, amps, subby's speakers and other audio goodies... I mean, I've heard Kicker make sick amps and I hear a few new players that have come on the Aussie market are equally impressive. A reason I ask this is because I was looking for a name of a relatively new player on the market which make really top subbys, and I'm planning for my audio system in my new car to come... To be honest, I'm a self confessed Pioneer man, but I'm willing and wanting to hear what you blokes and lasses have to say....

Kicker isn't "up there" for amps. They are good but far from "the best".

why do you want something thats new? Generally speaking, the longer that a company's been at it the better they will be. (With some obvious exceptions) If you just dont want stuff that is 'mainstream' have a look at subs from digital designs, image dynamics, boston who arnt that well known, but they arent cheap
