    Default Amp installation?

HI all, i am installing an amp in my VS exec and i know there should be a grommet where da clutch cable would be (its an auto) but I cant find it.
Also, is this the best place to run the power cable or should i do something else?

Any help would be much appreciated...and pictures would be nice since im definately no expert

Hi there dude, the clutch grommet is OVAL SHAPE. It's just a piece or rubber which will not have ANY WIRES running through it at all if it's an automatic. Yes, this is probably the easiest grommet to use as there is plenty of space. Have a look on your firewall, and think where the clutch would be if it was a manual. You should be able to find it, it's the only oval shaped grommet on the firewall.

Once you've found it, make a slit in it with a knife, probably a bit smaller than the cable you plan on running through it. Then get out some WD-40 (or KY Jelly - whatever is around) and use it on the grommet/cable to allow you to slide it through the grommet. That way it should fit in there nice and firm and not let any water in. Let us know how you go, cheers, Bryce.

Thanks for all your help, but I ended up taking it to a friend and he helped me with it
It worked well, but getting the wires under the skirting thing was a pain. Looks good now though with no wires in sight
