replacing head unit

to remove the old headunit, I remove it by the 4 small holes in the front, got that bit covered. The question is do I have to pull the dash apart to fit an aftermarket head unit and one of the pocket things. If I do is there a link or can someone explain the easiest way of doing it so I dont break anything.

you dont need too remove anything
pull out old radio
wire up new radio
place can in hole
poprivit can to sides
slide in new radio
trim little side plastic bits off pocket and push it in
your finished

im removing my head unit, and having troubles figuring out the 4 hole business and advice on tools needed would be much appreciated....plz help thanks

coat hanger wire or smaller or 4 small drill bits or anything that will fit in there
push them in and spread apaprt left-right and it will pull out
