VZ Ute - Stereo Wiring Question

Hey Guys,

Just wondering. VZ Ute, standard deck. Just wanted to plug my amp up to it. Is there a way to get it to work with the deck only?

There is no Remote wire on the deck. Would rather keep the car stock looking, but want the amp. An external switch works, but I want it to happen automatically, otherwise it sends a lovely popping noise through the cabin.

Also, does the loom actually run rear speakers? There are wires there for four speakers, but the rears just won't work. It will only let me bridge off the fronts..?

Hey Rob.

Utes don't have the wiring for rear speakers in the loom, and the head unit has the rear channels disabled in software. (that's why you have no fader function....)

You can go to Holden and get the unit re-coded to enable the rear channels, takes 'em a few minutes.
