Hey all,
Going ahead with phreddy's mod soon and have got my 6x9's for the back and 6" for the back doors.
Just wanting to know what splits to get for the front, i use pioneer mostly but am open to other suggestions.
They will be running off an amp so what does everyone else use?
Nah, no subs at this stage.
i bought the fusion powerplant splits(PP-CM65) runnin off a sony 4 channel amp and they go pretty damn hard for $200,
Jaycar splits are great for their price. If you have got few hundred to spend on them, maybe pionner or focal.
There are no stupid questions, just stupid people
I also recommend jaycar splits if you don't want to spend too much. Good sound for a good price.
jaycar or jvc, unless you want to spend above 300-400, then look at your bostons, focals etc
the jvc are nice smooth sounding components. they were my choice till I got the pioneer kevlar splits tsc-160r
Cheers guys, looking to spend around $250 ish at this stage.
the fusion splits below $250 will most likely be made from inferior materials and probably won't even include a cross over
as i said jaycar![]()
Rockford P162S are quite good and within your budget
go and listen to the jvc splits, bit better sound than the jaycar, to me anyway but go and listen for yourself. there on display at most jb hifi stores
i have the jaycar splits in my vs, they are bloody awsome for the price.
Thanx guys, went for a set of pioneer, got them new for $200.
are these ones here, http://cgi.ebay.com.au/New-PIONEER-T...QQcmdZViewItem as worse than the pioneer kevlar splits tsc-160r as mentioned earlier in the thread?
Cheers

A little friendly rivalry is fine here and there but don't let it get out of control again.
