Changing stock door speakers in a VT!!!
Hi I am cosidering changing my door speakers in my VT to the Precision Response Kevlar Coaxials - 6.5" 2 Way from JAYCAR. What would u guys recommend...any other brands.
I have heard that JAYCAR is good.

Yes jaycar is very good bang for buck. Pioneer also has some sweet speakers along with kenwood.
most speakers out today would run rings around those crappy vt speakers that sound bad when you turn the bass past half way.
The response CS-2329 splits are very similair in quality and sound to those pioneer TS-C160R splits. Also at $149.95 vs $529.00 RRP, i know what id choose... if i could go back to buying them again anyway!

how well do these fit in the original holes?
is there any cutting, drilling, fiddling required?

none at all if u use 6 or 6.5" speakers should fit straight in using the old holes aswell thats 4 the doors btw 2 if ur puttin them in the parcel shelf yer there will b some fiddling 2 do
JL audio XR650 csi's will NOT fit in the door without a lot of mucking around/custom stuff.(found that out today and I have no speakers/door trims at the moment)
