The head unit's RCA ground is most likely damaged. You will need to have the head unit looked at by Pioneer.

What type of RCA cables are you using? If they are cheap and don't have enough shielding, they will pick up the frequencies of the engine.

u dont need 2 get poineer 2 look at it just take it 2 ne1 who works on car audio gear i got mine dun (pioneer 7650-DEH) the other day and all it was they replaced was the circuit board protector and resoldered the PCB contacts thats it only cost $40 it would b cheaper again if u have a pioneer head deck that has the circuit board on top instead of on the bottom as they have 2 pull it all appart 2 get 2 the bit they need 2 replace

just remember pioneer always have a tendancy 2 blow these parts (along with the grounding track which is in the same loop) is 2 disconnect ur car battery wen ur fiddling with ur RCAs and speaker wires

wrx... The fuse needs to be replaced with a link so that it doesn't blow again. If he replaced it with a fuse, it will blow eventually.

Nah, anyone can fix it but most places will replace the fuse andthe fault will come back. It's a bad design and doesn't need a fuse in place, so just link it out.

no worries mine has actually blown b4 must b wat they did wen they 1st fix it but i took it 2 a pioneer technician then and they only charged me $15 2 do it i thought that was really cheap i was expecting at least $80 or so. prolly y it blew again but this bloke who did mine didnt say nething bout changing the fuse in it he just said he replaced the parts i already mentioned and said it was all in a loop (with the grounding track) so i guess he did wat u just said? will find out soon enough if it blows again lol least i know wat it is haha
