Pioneer DEH-1750: CD Getting Stuck On Eject

we have had the pioneer deh-1750 in mums car for a while now but when we went for a drive and i pressed eject i thought nothing happened. but once i pulled the faceplate off i saw the cd just poking out of the unit. this is the first time it has ever done it! and once we got home i kept puttin a cd in and ejecting it over and over again and now it comes out fully again but still sticks for about half a second. and when it sticks you can hear it struggling.

any ides?

The CD mech is dirty... If you're knowledgable in pulling things apart, take the lid off, take the 4 screws out that hold the mech in place, pull mech out but leave plugged in, get some cotton buds and shellite or metho, give the unit power and clean the rubber roller things at the front of the mech... If this is too hard, send it to Pioneer and they'll do it.

Mech - the Mechanical Mechanism that operates the CD in and out, dont forget to regrease the Worm/ gear drive with some Rubber Grease or Vaso will do...lightly.

The Lid is the has to do with the LID of the Steel Case of the HU.
