Has any one ever put 6X9's in rear vn doors with out power windows, i have a gas tank so a sub wont leave much usable boot space and am just looking for some bass from the rear. I was also gona put splits in the front and another set of 6X9's in the parcel shelf as i have 2 good sets of 6X9's layin around. Any other sugestions welcome, and would some 4" speakers with a mounting depth of 5.5mm fit in my dash.
Thanks for any answers

i was told by a car audio place having 6 by 9's in the parcel shelf of a VN was illegal (if i recall correctly it was about the depth of the speaker) so i opted for the 6 1/4 in...
Its weird because when i got my first system done in the VN the car audio place had no troubles putting 6 by 9's in the parcel shelf (law might have changed though)
so yeah if your gonna put the 6 by 9's in yourself you'll have no troubles but you might have trouble finding a 'legit' car audio place to do it for you.

buy aerpro speaker spacers for the 6x9's they can look alright with a bit of paint
mount them properly without spacers and tey will look even better with no painting needed
and dont put them in ya doors
its only illegal if u start cuttin into the cars frame and i think u need 2 if u want 2 make them sit flush otherwise if u got speaker grills ive seen the speakers mounted from under neith the parcel shelf from inside the boot then u just mount the grill on top of the parcel shelf does look a lil dodgy but keeps it how u want it also legal 2 otherwise go the spacers
some 6x9's fit, some dont.
i do know some thing that does always work though, the search function!
