Hey Guy I will be starting my boot install soon and have a few ideas but would be much easier without the spare tyres. Does anyone have any ideas of what I can do with the spare tyre? I would prefer to have i in the car still because I would hate to get a flat and have no spare but it is also a huge pain in the arse having it there.
I have a VR Calais Sedan and if any one has ideas for what i can do that would be great. The spare is a 18 inch and it sites to the left of the boot. Also I have heard about these instant repair in a can things, are they any good and do they wourk with an 18 inch rim?
Thanx in advance

dunno about a car, but in our VB wagon with the spare well, cut a hole in the top and mounted a 12, lined the well and put the spare in upside down so the sub basket sits inside the spare rim (which is held in place)
the result is an under carpet sub you cant see that gos ok, it duznt exactly crank but we listen to rock/metal anyway so its sufficient

Depends on what setup your installing to the Boot area?
How much boot space you want?
Also you could look at RUN FLAT tyres as on the Lastest BMW's 5 series etc, though not cheap tyres or rims.
The Repair Run Flat tyre - injection can are very good, though again for limited KMS and Speed.
My wife has used the can of tricks and works well, though I dont think the tyre guys like cleaning it up when they have to repair the puncture.
But that is life... depends on what you wish to compromise.

Well I think run-flat tyres are out of the question because I dont have all that muych money. For my boot I want to put 2 12s, 2 amps(pretty big) and a cap I think I might try without a spare and keep a can of the repair tyre stuff and hope for the best. Otherwise I can just keep looking at different ways to set up my boot, I want something different and good looking.
Thanx for your help.
