Default Help!!! JVC h/u, subwoofer RCA output???

    Hi all,
I recently installed a JVC KW-AVX700 double din DVD. And now purchase a 2channel Cadence FX102 amp and 12" Pioneer sub. My problem is that at the back of my JVC h/u there is on a single RCA output for the subwoofer. However on the amplifier their is L and R inputs. Do I just connect to one of these inputs or both and use an adapter at the h/u???

    Cheers

Cheers; I know what the specs are already. What I'm trying to figure out is how to go about connecting the subwoofer output from h/u to the input on my amp. As the h/u has a single output for subwoofer and the amp has two RCA line level inputs as it's a 2channel amp.

    Cheers Neway

It should work, if you connect the one channel, to the left channel on the amp, and make sure the amp is set on mono and im assuming ur bridging the channels, should be cool

Dont think that will work but depends upon how the amplifier works, read the instructions relating to bridging but to my understanding you need two inputs to bridge. You can always buy an RCA Y-Adapter if it comes to it.

    The AVX2 is the same

You need to use a RCA "Y" for the single output of the HU to the Dual on the amp, JVC only allowed one RCA from the HU as this is how JVC amps are set up.

THOUGH you can use the Daul "LINE OUT" for the REAR to the SUB AMP, if you are not running rear speakers, etc

THough it will muck up the fader control/ time alignment with the DTS etc.

Here is a pic of the rear of a AVX2 which will have the same outs as your AVX700

Should be right with the "Y"

If you need any help please email or PM use.

Cheers these are a brilliant unit, especially as they are much better sound quality than the ALPINE units, plus have DIVX and you dont need the DTS, Dobly Processor like the Alpines to get the most out of them.

You will be more than happy with the JVC --- it is a shame that they are so under rated in AUSTRALIA... as JVC build some of the best audio and visual gear available, like ther video camera, I would not buy anything else.
