ok ANYU heat to a circuit board will shorten its life, ut your amps will have a thermal shut down which will turn off the amp/s when they exceed a certain temp.
dont worry, its ok.
thanx mate was just worried coz i couldnt keep my hand on it 4 long and they havent been through the summers heat yet untill yesterday n 2day lol i knew they had a thermal shut down but i guess its gonna take a bit more heat 4 them 2 kick in? do u know how hot these can with stand b4 the shut down kicks in??

By the sounds of things...not much hotter then what they were. It's not an issue. More of an annoyance.
If it starts to shutdown then you may need to look at ways of keeping them cool.
You put you left foot in, your put your right foot in , you take your left foot out and you slide it all about!
are they concelled under plexi glass or somethink cause if they are you could run one fan to blow in air and run another to suck it out thats 1 idea enyways
like 12 volt and garfa... they are fine.
This can be an issue with the cheap no name brands... Jaycar and the like!

funny, my silver response amps havent had a problem in the heat, and ive been running them for about a year or so now. and they dont get babied.
i know the older black ones were supposed to be pretty dodgy heatwise though.
edit: and they are not jaycar brand, they are response brand, distributed by jaycar
Response do not have issues with heat dissipation.

yer i think they will b alright its all open i think was just coz of the heat of the day it was trapped inside the boot but if they do shut down i might look into gettin some fans mayb this is them....... im thinkin mayb coz they r black that might have attacted the heat a lil more 2.

ok lets see 43 degree day plus a 130x4 and a 400W monoblock (running ~800Wrms at 1 ohm) with me running them to near clipping. no heat or any other problems.
have you actually had any heat related or anyother problems with the newer jaycar amps with customers products? or was this just another chance to give jaycar a bagging?
Hertz...now theres a brand that gave me issues with heat dissipation! Good Golly... Fart near the damn thing and the thermal cut-off would kick in!

thought that might get some bits!!
12 volt dont say that about HERTZ on CAA as they will flame you for that comment!!
