i assume u wanna make it outer MDF then? if so i would imagine the best way 2 mount MDF with out drilling into ur boot would b 2 mayb weld some metal brackets on the inside 2 give u somthing 2 screw the MDF 2 then i guess its just a matter of makin the box 2 wat eva size u want and shape it 2 fit would b a bit of stuffin round tho but with some time n patience u could get it dun.

u may even b able 2 screw into the boot lids frame (without welding brackets on) using long enough screws but not 2 long that it goes through the other side of ya boot lol. pics of ya boot lid mite help 2?

the issue you are going to have once you do this though is how the hell do you expect the boot lid to stay up?
You put you left foot in, your put your right foot in , you take your left foot out and you slide it all about!

id say ur best bet if u dont care about looks and just want the speakers 2 mount on ya boot lid purchase some 6x9 boxes already made and b4 u screw the speker in the box screw the box 2 those brackets on the boots frame with those screws u were talkin bout

if ya wanna make it look a bit better ur prolly gonna have 2 make up a larger box 2 cover ur boot lid but as flat as u can make the box and screw it on like that and shape it 2 how eva u want u can even get it carpeted after 2 and it wont look as bad bein raw MDF

but is kinda hard with out actually seein the boot lid 2 give ya a better idea hope it kinda helps id imagine not 2 many ppl would have dun this like ur tryin 2 prolly y ur not gettin as many responses?

ahh yer i know wat ya mean so u'd build it up enough 2 lift the speaker off the boot lid? yer that will work but then u have 2 mount it 2 the boot depending how thick u make these spacers u just gotta find long enough screws 2 screw them down id even go 2 a furniture place or a cabinetmakers n try find some 35mm MDF scrap they might even give it 2 u as u wont need much at all, 2 of those glues 2gether should b heaps will bring the mounting depth 2 70mm then if not u can always wack another 19mm on top or 16mm just depends on the mounting depth of the speakers uve choosen 2 put in there
