Hay i have a 1500w sub but don't want to run it at 1500w because that would be way to much power lol, I was thinking about 200wRMS? Jl audio mono block amp (e1200)

Mate if you are talking real Watts then the sub will be 750rms and 200 watts will be about 27% of it capacity

Which is fine though go a cheap amp and you run the risk of it clipping, overheating not only destroying your amp but your sub!

if you want good bass then go fusion i have a jonah luma fjl16d 1600 wrms and when linked its 3000wrms but theres no way i run it at that! in fact all thats conected up to it at the moment is two 12 inch powerplants which are quite good in my vs at the moment! untill i get the car i realy want then do a custom boot install with 2 jonah 15 subs and hopefully get it into street machine maybe! but the damn amp cost me a fortune it was $1500 from auto barn and let me tell you my friend theres amps out there that cost aloy more! so do youself a favour and before you spen your hard earned take the time and go to all the audio shops and get demos on EVERYTHING and oh yeah dont listen to the jerk off sales person who claims to have the biggest stero in his car as hes just trying to get you to buy his product BUY WHAT YOU WANT and be happy what the decision!

Well for starters you dont know what sub he has, the FUSION model that you are recommending ... so how can you compare APPLE with ORANGES???

Also he was asking about an AMP!! though that is impossible to recommend as you have no idea what he has in the first place!!

As for my recommendations --- again depends what FUSION you are looking at!

firstly my recomendation was that the fusion gear works for me! and yes i dont know what amp or subs he has but it was in my opinion that fusion was the way to go i have 2 fpw-12s in my vs running off the jonah and it sounds sweet i cant turn the bass control up much as the vibration from the bass has ratled my number plate half off before not to mention that it sounds like crap and i dont actualy like alot of the newer fusion gear as i think the new model stuff isnt that good (in regards to there cheaper stuff like encounter series) and as far as there new range of power plant series goes i havent heard it yet! but i know that when i bought my subs and amp last year that fusion won the local sound off with 169.db with onlt 2 15inch subs the luma series wich aint bad and after all this is only my opinion at the end of the day he has to be happy with whatever he gets as i said in the first place!

Get ur self a 4 channel Amp with low and high pass filters,Something with good rms Rating --- I like the German Gear, seems to be the goods nothing wrong with kenwood,Pioneer,Jaycar,JVC,Alpine,Fusion and so forth,Xplod doesn't have big rep on their amps but shop around for a amp with good rms ratings and warranty to suit. Don't just buy it cause it says 1000w or what ever ,talk to the shops eg autobarn / motoquipe, look around, compare prices and sound, don't for get ur wiring also is to consider make sure you get ur self a decent amp kit with good fuse wire, good earthing gold rcas and ull be happy cruzen the vk.

Personally tho I wouldn't go for a brand name amp eg pioneer if your on a budget they are good no doubt but to over priced for bang for buks. I use a German "Weconic" 800w 125rms x 2 @ 2ohms running my 12" Pioneer sub and 220W Pioneer Bullet Spitz which go well in my VN SS and my amp was half the price of a brand name amp with same rating.
    Cheers.

You have the Max Turbo sub, don't you? What voice coil does it have? What is the proper power rating? That eBay listing states 4 ohm, but then the picture shows the sticker on the back of the sub which says "2/4/8 ohm" which would only make sense if it was a dual voice coil sub. Does your sub have 2 speaker terminals (a + and a -) or 4 speaker terminals (2 + and 2 -)?

I can't recommend you anything until you tell us the above info and how much you'd like to spend.

I'd only buy Fusion if there was no other brands to buy and I would never buy Weconic... There is so many better brands out there. EVEN IF ON A TIGHT BUDGET.

So it has dual 4 ohm coils?
It'd be lucky to be 400Wrms realistically, so just find an amp that does about 400Wrms x 1 at 2 ohm (if sub is in fact dual 4 ohm). Many brands do a monoblock amp that does about 350-600W at 2 ohm, so just look around. How much do you want to spend?

RMS Ratings on that brand are impossible to find... Other than Ebay links there is nothing about the brand on the internet

But I think StoneX is right, it would be lucky to be 400 watts RMS. I wouldnt go buying an amp to power it any stronger than that.

And if you blow the sub through misuse it will not be covered by warranty.

Still 50% under powered... though within the 10-100% rule!

Yes but i don't want to run 400wRMS because i will be over kill and whats the point in buying a 400Wrms when i don't need a 400wRMS amp?
45 watts to my speakers and then 400wRMS to my Sub! thats like 20 times more power to my sub!

Buy whatever you want, but don't argue with the advice you asked for

It's always better to have more power than you need, it's as simple as that. If you can't afford the extra power, then don't buy it.
